Land Borders Challenges In Europe


The European Commission has launched a series of initiatives over the past seven years to reduce irregular migration and protect the security of European citizens, while aiming at further stimulate trade and tourism. One of the key areas of opportunity is the improvement of the management of movement of non-EU citizens or Third Country Nationals (TCNs) between the states of the Schengen region. Unlike the citizens of the 26 European countries making up the Schengen area, TCNs do not have the EU right for freedom of movement.
